Duties of Reviewers
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions. Peer review supports editorial decision-making and assists authors in improving their work.
- Promptness. Reviewers who are unable to complete a timely review or feel unqualified to assess the manuscript should notify the editor immediately.
- Standards of Objectivity. Reviews should be objective, constructive, and respectful. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.
- Confidentiality. Manuscripts must be treated as confidential. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use the content without authorization.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest. Reviewers must not use privileged information for personal advantage and should decline to review manuscripts with potential conflicts of interest.
- Acknowledgement of Sources. Reviewers should identify relevant, uncited published work and alert the editor to any substantial similarity with other known works.
