RANCANGAN EMPLOYEE ASSISTE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP) UNTUK MENUNJANG PENINGKATAN QUALITY OF WORK LIFE (QWL) PADA KARYAWAN PT. X
Abstract
Hal yang dapat memengaruhi kinerja seorang karyawan ialah kualitas kehidupan kerjanya (QWL). Kualitas kehidupan kerja tersebut dapat terpenuhi dengan menyediakan lingkungan dan situasi kerja yang nyaman bagi karyawan. Kegagalan dalam mengatasi permasalahan di tempat kerja berpengaruh pada kehidupan pribadi seorang karyawan dan juga sebaliknya. Hasil Pra-asesmen memperlihatkan bahwa ada dua dimensi yang menjadi perhatian, yaitu Health & Well-being, dan Work & Non-Work Life Balance. Hal yang dapat dilakukan ialah dengan memberikan program pendampingan bagi karyawan, dinamakan Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). EAP diawali dengan identifikasi kebutuhan untuk melihat area work-related stress dengan menggunakan instrumen adaptasi dari Occupational Inventory Stress - Revised (Osipow, 1998). Asesmen dilakukan kepada 150 orang pegawai kantor pusat, namun data yang dapat diolah hanya 67 subjek. Terdapat 4 area stressor yang paling signifikan yaitu Role Insufficiency, Role Ambiguity, Role Boundary, dan Interpersonal Strain. Diketahui juga adanya sumber daya personal yang kurang dimanfaatkan dalam mengelola stresor yaitu Recreation, Self Care, Social Support, dan Rational/Cognitive Coping. Program intervensi diarahkan pada layanan yang bersifat kuratif dan preventif melalui rancangan EAP. Rancangan berisi panduan bagi perusahaan mengenai langkah-langkah dalam mendirikan layanan EAP, standar dan panduan profesional dalam memberikan layanan, serta contoh promosi layanan EAP.
