HUBUNGAN INTENSITAS PENGGUNAAN SMARTPHONE DENGAN PERILAKU MAKAN PADA EMERGING ADULTS

Abstract

Abstrak – Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan intensitas penggunaan smartphone dengan perilaku makan pada emerging adults. Pada masa ini sudah banyak aplikasi dalam smartphone yang dapat mendukung perilaku makan seseorang yang dapat muncul karena emosi, mood dan stimulus dari luar. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan individu usia 18-25 tahun yang memiliki smartphone pribadi. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Intensitas Penggunaan Smartphone (SIPS) dan Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ). Pengambilan data dilakukan secara online melalui google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan smartphone dengan perilaku makan seseorang (r = 0,294 dan p (0,002) < 0,05). Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi tingkat penggunaan smartphone seseorang, semakin tinggi perilaku mengkonsumsi makanannya.

Abstract – The purpose of this study is to see whether the intensity of smartphone usage correlates with emerging adults’ eating behavior. Nowadays, there are all sorts of applications that could affect a person’s eating behavior that is due to emotions, moods, and external stimulation. Participants on this study are individuals aged 18-25 who has their own smartphones. Questionnaires used to measure the intensity of smartphone usage and eating behavior are Skala Intensitas Penggunaan Smartphone (SIPS) and Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ) respectively and data are obtained through google form. The result shows that there is a significant positive correlation between the intensity of smartphone usage with eating behavior (r = 0,294 dan p (0,002) < 0,05). This means that the higher the intensity of smartphone usage, the higher their behavior of eating.
