HUBUNGAN ANTARA KURANG TIDUR (SLEEP DEPRIVATION) DENGAN AGRESI PADA DEWASA AWAL DENGAN SUASANA HATI SEBAGAI MEDIATOR
Abstract
Abstrak -Sebanyak 107 kasus kekerasan yang telah dilakukan oleh organisas i masyarakat pada tahun 2007 - 2010 dan juga terdapat sebanyak 145.800 r emaja yang mengalami kasus bullying di UK pada tahun 2012. Perilaku dis ebutkan sebelumnya merupakan salah satu bentuk perilaku agresi yang masi h sering terjadi sampai sekarang secara global di seluruh dunia. Penelitian i ni bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kurang tidur dapat mempen garuhi agresi melalui suasana hati sebagai mediator. Penelitian dengan meto de survey ini menggunakan desain accidental sampling dan sampel yang di butuhkan sebanyak 267 subjek dengan kategori usia emerging adulthood di wilayah Surabaya. Pengukuran menggunakan alat ukur The Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index untuk kurang tidur, The Profile of Mood States untuk suasan a hati dan The Aggression Questionnaire untuk agresi. Data dianalisis meng gunakan uji regresi path analysis dengan menggunakan program SPSS for Windows versi 16.0 for Windows. Hasil menunjukan bahwa kurang tidur me miliki hubungan signifikan dengan agresi melalui suasana hati sebagai medi ator dengan nilai t hitung > t tabel yaitu 6.727 > 1.96. Dalam penelitian in i kurang tidur tidak dapat mempengaruhi agresi secara langsung karena nilai jalur antara kedua variabel adalah 0.029 yang berarti nilai tersebut mendek ati 0 sehingga hampir tidak ada memiliki pengaruh yang berarti.

Abstract -There are 107 cases of violence that community organization has done in 2007 - 2010 in Indonesia and as much as 145.800 of adolescents who experienced case of bullying in UK in 2012. That behavior is one of the many kind of aggression behavior that still happening globally all over the world until now. Purpose of this research is to find out relationship bet ween sleep deprivation and aggression on emerging adulthood using mood as intervening variable. Survey with accidental sampling is used as a metho d in this research and it is involving as much as 267 subject with emergin g adulthood whose lived in Surabaya. The Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index fo
r measuring sleep deprivation, The Profile of Mood States for measuring m ood and The Aggression Questionnaire for measuring aggression. Data analy zed using regression test with SPSS program version 16.0 for Windows. Th e results show that sleep deprivation have significant relationship with aggr ession using mood as intervening variable with value t score > t table that is 6.727 > 1.96. In this research sleep deprivation don’t have direct relatio nship with aggression because of its path value is too small and nearly zer o that is 0.029 and conclude that the relationship nearly has no significant effect.
