Perancangan Modul Energy Awareness System Menggunakan Wireless Sensor Actuator Network (Wsan) pada Ruang Kelas Fakultas Teknik Universitas Surabaya

Abstract

Abstract– Excessive use of electricity can cause high electricity cost. This Final Project is about a system that has a function to reduce electricity usage so it can reduce electrical cost. This system is installed and tested on the classroom in the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Surabaya. This system can reduce the usage of electricity by controlling the use of light and air conditioner. The system consisted of several parts, namely coordinator node that has a function as a decision maker on this system, master node that has a function to control the light and AC, and router node that has a function to increase the distance between the coordinator node and master node. The light and AC that controlled by this system will adjust their status according to the situation, when the temperature is high, the system will order the AC to reduce their temperature or when the room is dark, the system will order the light to be turned on. Master node will be divided into 2 parts, namely slave controller and master controller. Slave controller has 2 function, namely as a sensor and actuator, while master controller has a function to collect all data from the slave that has a function as a sensor, send the sensor data to coordinator node and manage the slave that has a function as actuator. The final result of this Final Project is a custom WSAN module that is a part of energy awareness system. The custom module that have been made can control the light, based on the value of sensor or from the coordinator node.
