PERAN LINGKUNGAN BUDAYA TIONGHOA TERHADAP MANAJEMEN KINERJA
Studi Kasus di Perusahaan Ekspedisi Muatan Kapal Laut
Abstract
Suku bangsa/etnis Tionghoa merupakan etnis yang tergolong minoritas di Indonesia. Walaupun secara kuantitas tergolong minoritas, tetapi secara kualitas tergolong mayoritas. Hal ini dilihat dengan berkembangnya bisnis yang dijalankan pengusaha keturunan Tionghoa sejak jaman Order Baru dan meraih sukses sampai saat ini. Kesuksesan suatu badan usaha,tentunya merupakan hasil kerja keras dari sumber daya manusia yang bekerja di dalamnya. Agar hasil kerja keras dari sumber daya manusia yang bekerja mencapai tujuan badan usaha, dibutuhkanlah manajemen kinerja. Penggunaan manajemen kinerja dalam badan usaha, tentunya harus mempertimbangkan norma-norma budaya yang ada dikarenakan latar belakang lingkungan budaya pada masing-masing badan usaha akan berbeda 1 dengan yang lainnya. Dengan mempertimbangkan norma-norma budaya yang ada di dalam badan usaha, membuat manajemen kinerja menjadi efektif. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai pengaruh lingkungan budaya Tionghoa terhadap peranan manajemen kinerja dengan menggunakan pendekatan interpretive. Penelitian menggunakan objek perusahaan Ekspedisi Muatan Kapal Laut di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa lingkungan budaya Tionghoa yang dimiliki pemimpin perusahaan mempengaruhi peranan manajemen kinerja yang diterapkan secara tidak langsung.
Tribes / ethnic Chinese were classified as ethnic minorities in Indonesia. Although the quantity belonging to a minority, but the majority of classified quality. This is seen with the development of business entrepreneurs who run Chinese descent since the New Order era and success to date. The success of an enterprise, of course, is the hard work of the human resources working in them. In order for the hard work of the human resources working towards the goal of business entities, need performance management. The use of performance management in the enterprises, of course, have to consider the cultural norms that exist due to the background of the cultural environment on each will be different from one business entity to another. Taking into account the cultural norms that exist in the enterprise, making performance management to be effective. This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the influence of Chinese culture on the role of environmental management performance by using the interpretive approach. The research uses an object company Sea Cargo in Surabaya. This study found that the Chinese cultural environment owned corporate leaders influence the performance management role applied indirectly.
