HUBUNGAN ANTARA FAMILY FUNCTIONING DAN PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL BEING PADA EMERGING ADULTHOOD
Abstract
Psychological well being adalah keadaan individu memiliki kualitas relasi yang positif dengan orang lain, kemandirian, tujuan akan hidup, dan perkembangan pribadi dengan memanfaatkan potensi yang dimiliki. Penelitian sebelumnya mengungkapkan bahwa adanya family functioning berkorelasi dengan psychological well being remaja. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara family functioning dan psychological well being emerging adulthood pada emerging adulthood. Pengukuran family functioning dengan menggunakan 53 aitem The McMaster Family Assessment Device (FAD) dan pengukuran psychological well being dengan 18 aitem Ryff’s psychological well being scale (RPWB). Subjek penelitian adalah 350 mahasiswa-mahasiswi yang berusia antara 18-25 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasi antara family functioning dan psychological well being emerging adulthood (r=0.447; p=0.000). Hasil ini juga didukung dengan korelasi antar aspek family functioning dan psychological well being yaitu aspek pemecahan masalah dan psychological well being (r=0.233; p=0.000), komunikasi dan psychological well being (r=0.327;p=0.000), Peran dan psychological well being (r=0.375;p=0.000), respon afektif dan psychological well being (r=0.419;p=0.000), keterlibatan afektif dan psychological well being (r=0.361;p=0.000), kontrol perilaku dan psychological well being (r=0.437;p=0.000), fungsi umum keluarga dan psychological well being (r=0.410;p=0.000).
