PENERAPAN METODE MATERIAL REQUIREMENT PLANNING DI PT. TRI POINT CENTRALINDO
Abstract
Abstrak - PT. Tri Point Centralindo merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur penghasil kotak makan mika dan foam. Pasokan bahan baku plastik yang tidak stabil menyebabkan perusahaan mengalami kekurangan dan kelebihan bahan baku plastik setiap bulannya. Perusahaan mengalami permasalahan terkait dengan sistem pengendalian persediaan bahan baku yang tidak terstruktur. Metode yang digunakan oleh perusahaan saat ini dalam pengendalian bahan baku hanya menggunakan perhitungan konvensional tanpa melakukan suatu peramalan ataupun perencanaan yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan suatu perencanaan dan pengendalian bahan baku agar ketersediaan bahan baku terjamin pada waktu dan tempat yang tepat, sehingga biaya persediaan dapat diminimalkan dan perusahaan memperoleh laba yang maksimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Material Requirement Planning. Metode ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan kebutuhan item-item bahan baku dengan menentukan waktu dan jumlah pemesanannya. Hasil yang diberikan oleh metode MRP menunjukkan bahwa biaya persediaan dapat diminimalkan sebesar 4,9%.

Abstract – PT. Tri Point Centralindo is a manufacturing company producing mika and foam lunch boxes. Supply of plastic raw materials which unstable causing excess or shortage of plastic raw materials every month. Companies are experiencing problems related to raw material inventory control system that is not structured. The method used by the company is currently in the control of raw materials using only conventional calculations without making a forecast or planning. This study aims to provide a planning and control of raw materials in order to secure availability of raw materials at the time and the right place, so that inventory costs can be minimized and the company gain maximum profit. The method used in this research is the Material Requirement Planning. This method aims to plan for the needs of those items of raw materials to determine the timing and amount of their order. The results given by the MRP method showed that inventory costs can be minimized by 4.9%.
