FAKTOR-FAKTOR IRRASIONAL PADA PENILAIAN BATU AKIK DI WILAYAH TERNATE DAN SURABAYA
Abstract
Abstract: Trend from the phenomenon of agate can also affect the pricing of it that was on sale in the market. Agate which has benefits for the treatment or the things unseen can make the stones on sale at a high price. Appearence of the phenomenon because the “bacan” is a typical stone of the North Moluccas. East Java is the place for the spread of the agate originating from various regions in Indonesia. The findings of this research show that the determination of the agate selling price does not have a standard at every agate seller. However, the markup contained in the agate cannot be clearly defined. When bought agate, buyer did not consider a rational aspect because they have only seen from the motive and colour that is inherent in the agate. For budget issued by the consumers while buying agate is not a big problem, most importantly the agate is level good quality and has uniqe motive.

Abstrak: Tren dari fenomena batu akik juga dapat mempengaruhi dari penetapan harga batu akik yang di jual di pasar. Batu akik yang memiliki manfaat untuk pengobatan atau hal-hal ghaib dapat membuat batu tersebut di jual dengan harga tinggi. Munculnya fenomena batu akik karena batu bacan yang merupakan batu khas dari wilayah Maluku Utara. Jawa Timur merupakan tempat persebaran batu akik yang berasal dari berbagai macam daerah di Indonesia. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan penetapan harga jual batu akik tidak memiliki standar di setiap penjual batu akik. Selain itu, mark-up yang terkandung di dalam batu akik tidak dapat ditetapkan secara jelas. Pada saat membeli batu akik, konsumen tidak mempertimbangkan aspek rasional karena konsumen hanya melihat dari motif dan warna yang melekat pada batu akik tersebut. Untuk anggaran yang dikeluarkan oleh konsumen ketika membeli batu akik bukan sebuah permasalahan besar, yang terpenting batu akik tersebut memiliki kualitas yang bagus dan memiliki motif yang unik.
