PENGARUH ADAPTASI GUIDED IMAGERY MUSIC THERAPY TERHADAP HAPPINESS

Abstract

Abstrak - Terapi musik tipe receiptive mengadaptasi metode Guided Imagery Music Therapy pada penelitian ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan happiness. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari terapi musik terhadap happiness mahasiswa. Metode dan desain penelitian ini adalah One Group Pre-test dan Post-test dengan lima orang mahasiswa sebagai partisipan yang miliki happiness rendah dan sedang diukur dengan angket OHQ (Oxford Happiness Quessionaire), sering mendengarkan musik non lirikal, dan memiliki tingkat depresi yang rendah diukur menggunakan angket BDI-II. Angket OHQ memiliki koefisien Chronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0.836 dengan rentang Corrected Item Total Correlation sebesar 0.080 – 0.562. Analsis data yang dilakukan adalah membandingkan skor OHQ Pre-test dan Post-test melalui uji Paired Samples T-Test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan secara deskriptif ada perbedaan skor happiness yang dapat diketahui dari nilai thitung sebesar -0.817, namun secara statistik tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari music therapy terhadap happiness mahasiswa (p = 0.216). Peningkatan terbesar terjadi pada social commitment dan sense of control. Penelitian selanjutnya perlu memperhatikan metode penelitian, jumlah partisipan, penggunaan terapis yang terlatih, lamanya pelaksanaan treatment dan melakukan follow up.

Abstract – Music therapy type receiptive adapting Guided Imagery Music Therapy in this study proved to increase happiness. This study investigates whether there is a significant effect of music therapy on student happiness. Methods and design of this study was One Group Pre-test and post-test with five students as participants who have the happiness of low and medium measured by OHQ (Oxford Happiness Quessionaire), used to listen to non-lyrical, and have lower levels of depression measured using the BDI-II questionnaire. OHQ had Cronbach Alpha coefficients for 0.836 with a range of Corrected Item Total Correlation of 0.080-0.562. The analysis of data is to compare scores OHQ Pretest and post-test through the Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed there a difference in descriptive happiness score that can be known from the value t values -0817, but statistically there was no significant effect of music therapy on the happiness of students (p = 0216). The largest increases occurred in social commitment and sense of control. Further research needs to pay attention to the research method, the number of participants, the use of a trained therapist, the length of the implementation of the treatment and follow up.
