HUBUNGAN INTERPERSONAL TRUST DAN JOB SATISFACTION PADA KARYAWAN UNIVERSITAS SURABAYA
Abstract
Abstrak - Kepuasan kerja menjadi ukuran bagi karyawan dalam menanggapi lingkungan kerja yang ia jalani. Penting bagi sebuah tempat kerja untuk memastikan karyawannya puas pada pekerjaan yang diberikan. Dari hal itu berbagai upaya yang dilakukan perusahaan untuk memastikan karyawannya puas, namun ternyata lingkungan sosial terdekat berpotensi dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan karyawan mencapai kepuasannya. Pemenuhan kebutuhan itu terwujud dalam kepercayaan interpersonal dengan membiarkan orang lain mengenal kita dan membangun kepercayaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji hubungan interpersonal trust dan job satisfaction pada karyawan khususnya staff administrasi tata usaha Universitas Surabaya. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 62 orang karyawan tata usaha dari seluruh fakultas. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan tehnik accidental sampling dengan menyebar angket terbuka dan angket tertutup dengan skala Likert. Tehnik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi parametrik yaitu uji korelasi Pearson’s. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara interpersonal trust dan job satisfaction pada karyawan UBAYA (r = 0,396; sig = 0,001) yang berarti apabila interpersonal trust makin tinggi, maka makin tinggi pula job satisfaction. Saran bagi penelitian selanjutnya adalah hendaknya pada penelitian selanjutnya bisa ditambahkan lagi variabel yang lain, misalnya dengan variabel stress, intrinsic motivation, atau work-related tension.

Abstract – Work satisfication has become measurement for employees coping with their work environment. It’s important for a workplace to make sure their employees satisfied with their job. There is several effort that has done by the company to make sure their employee’s satisfication. However closer social environment potentially fullfilled employee’s need to achieve their satisfication. The employee’s fullfilled needs described in interpersonal trust by letting others to get to know us and build trust. The aim for this study is to examine correlation between interpersonal trust and job satisfication in employees, especially for administrative staffs in Universitas Surabaya. Respondent in this study included 62 administrative staffs from all faculties in Universitas Surabaya. Samples collected by using accidental sampling, distributed in written questionnaire and responded by Likert scale. The data analysis technique using Pearson’s correlation parametric test. The result show that there is positive correlation between interpersonal trust and job satisfication on UBAYA’s employee (r= 0,396; sig= 0,001) which means when interpersonal trust get higher, their job satisfication get high too.
