The term Keluwih comes from keluwih leaf which is one of the symbols of the University of Surabaya. In this symbol, keluwih leaf means high ideals of knowledge (Linuwih).

Keluwih: Jurnal Kesehatan dan Kedokteran is an online, open access, and peer-reviewed journal. JKK is published twice a year (December, June; First published in December 2019). This journal aims to disseminate the results of original research, case report, and critical reviews in the fields of health and medicine. This focus and scope is limited to the fields of pharmacy, medicine, public health, and health biotechnology.  JKK collaborates with Pusat Unggulan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (PUI) Universitas Surabaya to publish articles in the field of food products and health supplements for degenerative conditions.
