Abstract
High performance in sport requires certain behavior quality. Performance excellence is attained only through optimal personal quality, both physically and mentally. There are seven traits functioning as basic conditions to gain highly achievements in sport, i.e. achievement ambition, hard- work, persistent, independent, commitment, intelligent, and self-control
Prestasi tinggi dalam olahraga mempersyaratkan perilaku dengan kualitas tertentu. Atlet yang berhasil pada dasarnya adalah mereka yang memiliki kualitas unggul, tidak saja dalam hal fisik tetapi juga kepribadian. Ada tujuh trait yang merupakan prasyarat dasar untuk meraih prestasi tinggi dalam olahraga, yaitu: ambisi prestatif, kerja keras, gigih, mandiri, komitmen, cerdas, dan swakendali.
