Instruction to Authors

Submitted manuscripts should be empirical studies, literature reviews, theoretical or methodological articles, or case studies. The relevant ethics committee/ institution review boards must approve the study. All original articles representing human studies must be accompanied by ethical clearance and informed consent.

 

Quantitative research reports should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) Journal Article Reporting Standards (JARS) format, such as:

  1. The length of a manuscript 6000 words (not including References)
  2. Title: (recommended length ≤ 12 words), name and affiliation of author(s), contact information of the corresponding author, additional information of importance for the readers, when necessary.
  3. Abstract: (empirical studies: 100-250 words, non-empirical studies: 100-150 words), containing objectives, participants, study method, findings, conclusions, and keywords.
  4. Introduction: problem, review of relevant scholarship, hypothesis, aims, and objectives.
  5. Method: participant characteristics, sampling procedures, sample size, power, precision, measures, data collection, instrumentation, masking, psychometrics, conditions and design, data diagnostics, and analytic strategy.
  6. Results: participants flow, recruitment, statistics, and data analysis.
  7. Discussion: support of original hypothesis, similarity of results, interpretation, generalizability, implications, limitations, separate conclusions when necessary.

Qualitative research, qualitative meta-analysis, and mixed methods research reports should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) Journal Article Reporting Standards (JARS) or Meta-Analysis Reporting Standards (MARS) format accordingly. The length of a manuscript 6000 words (not including References).

 

Crediting Sources should follow the American Psychological Association (APA; 2019, 7th ed.) Publication Manual.

  1. Findings indicated that... (Arnett, 2000; Osgood et al., 2005; Shulman & Nurmi, 2010).
  2. Maternal death and other complications... (World Health Organization [WHO], 2007a).
  3. Manaf (2015) stated that errors....
  4. Dahl (1999, as cited in Miller, 2002) concluded that enough sleep....
