From Access to Action: Promoting Indonesian Psychology Contributions Through APA PsycTests®

Abstract
The collaboration between Himpunan Psikologi Indonesia (HIMPSI) and the American Psychological Association (APA) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) opens up important opportunities for Indonesian psychology's contributions to the global arena. This editorial highlights the underrepresentation of measurement tools in Bahasa Indonesia in the APA PsycTests® database and identifies structural barriers such as the absence of a standardized national documentation system. Highlighting the significant potential for adaptation and development of local measurement tools, this article proposes concrete strategies to encourage the active participation of Indonesia and other underrepresented communities in the development of evidence-based and contextual psychology. Proposals include the establishment of a national task force, strengthening the role of institutions and scientific journals, and utilizing APA PsycTests® as a pathway for multicultural scholarly contributions to the international psychological landscape.
